This website contains notes posted for my students in Social Foundations I, II, and III in Liberal Studies at NYU. Social Foundations investigates social and political thought in context from the Classical era to the 20th Century.  While the notes make more sense when used in conjunction with the lecture, they may be of use to anyone interested in the topics.
